What if the reason you feel stuck isn’t a lack of information, but too much of it? We unpack the quiet habit of outsourcing healing, from practitioner hopping and supplement overload to spiritual tools that drown out intuition. With candid stories and practical reframes, we explore how to move from “tell me what to do” to “help me hear myself,” so your choices come from clarity instead of chaos.

We draw a clear line between supportive guidance and giving away power. On the physical side, we talk about why symptoms often return after a great protocol, and how unexamined beliefs, stress patterns, and triggers keep the loop alive. On the emotional and spiritual side, we get real about “busy healing” as a trauma response (courses, workshops, and readings that create more noise than relief), and share simple ways to pause the inputs so your nervous system can settle and your intuition can speak. We also rethink diagnosis as information rather than identity, and share examples of recovery that highlight the role of belief, presence, and patient practice.

If this resonates, follow the show, share it with someone who needs it, and leave a quick review—what’s one thing you’ll stop outsourcing this week?

  • Episode 56: The Science of Somatic Intelligence With Katie Connelly
    Oct 9 2025

    Send us a text

Katie Connelly joins us to demystify the buzzword "somatic experiencing" and shares how reconnecting with our body's wisdom creates profound healing. Drawing from her background as a clinical counselor, craniosacral therapist, and yoga teacher, Katie explains that somatic work is fundamentally about understanding what our physiological sensations are trying to tell us.

Katie's journey began in childhood when her mother introduced breathwork and meditation to help manage anxiety. At just seven years old, she discovered yoga poses created physical sensations that released emotional tension – the foundation of what we now call somatic experiencing. After reconnecting with this wisdom following a near-death experience in her twenties, Katie dedicated her professional life to helping others access their body intelligence.

    About Katie:
Katie Connolly is an award winning Somatic Parenting Coach and parent of two, bridging science and intuition in her work with neurodiverse families. She is a Clinical Counsellor, Craniosacral & Somatic Therapist, and founded a Registered Children's Yoga School. Her mission is to foster a world where children grow confident in their bodies, voices, and gifts so they can gloWithin™.

  • Episode 55: How Questioning Everything Leads to Healing
    Oct 2 2025

    Send us a text

The most powerful question you can ask yourself might be: "What if I'm wrong?" In a world obsessed with certainty and being right, Denise and Kira explore how embracing uncertainty and questioning our beliefs creates the foundation for true healing.

The hosts dive into how our addiction to certainty (whether about diets, relationships, religion, or politics) prevents growth and keeps us stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. They share personal examples of times when being open to being wrong led to profound shifts in perspective and healing opportunities, including Denise's experience with her teenage daughter during divorce and Kira's evolving understanding of different dietary approaches.

At the heart of this conversation is a revolutionary idea: we cannot heal if we're always right. By turning down the volume on ego and turning up awareness, we create space for transformation. The hosts offer practical approaches to questioning long-held beliefs without judgment, including simple but powerful questions like "I wonder if this is true?" and "Where's the evidence for this belief?"
