Welcome to Hope, Understanding & Encouragement… H.U.E. for short. My name is Darren Smith, a believer in God's Word and a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ.     God is preparing you for future events, and has already prepared you for today’s events. God is using people around you to lift you up into the place where He wants you to be. And so it is with other people. God is using you to lift up other people so that they will be in the place where God wants them to be. And when life seems to be terrible and without hope, do not be surprised or angry when God uses wicked people to get you prepared for what is about to come.

    King David generates a large inheritance which God blessed him with to pass onto his son King Solomon. King David gives him a warning not to lose this inheritance, and this warning is also meant for us. Those who are faithful to God will receive an inheritance from Him, so when you come face to face with Jesus Christ, make sure He welcomes you into His garden, because I am sure you do not want to be returned where you came from. 'Returning' or 'holding onto' are themes that run through the Word of God.

    Today we are talking about strongholds in our lives that seem impossible to defeat, even though God is with us as we face these difficult situations. The idea of the iron chariots come from the time when God was with Judah as they were conquering territory promised to them by God. And yet even though God was with Judah, Judah could not defeat the cities that had iron chariots.
