Amy Salzstein is the owner of Hair Response and a leading expert in customized hair loss solutions. Founded in 1985 by her mother, Barbara, following her personal experience with Alopecia Areata, Hair Response was built on empathy, understanding, and individualized care.

Amy joined the family business in 1990, learning firsthand the importance of listening deeply and supporting clients through a highly personal journey. When Barbara retired in 2007, Amy proudly continued the legacy, guiding Hair Response forward with the same heart-centered mission. Mara Heichman began working as an Aging Life Care Manager in 2017, drawing on her extensive clinical background as an Occupational Therapist across Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Home Health settings. She holds a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago, a powerful combination that allows her to support older adults and their families with both compassion and strategic insight.
