  • Teens, Obesity & GLP1s: What You Need to Know About Weightloss Drugs for Your Kids, with Dr. Chris Bolling
    Sep 2 2025

You've no doubt been hearing the buzz about weight loss medications for kids and teens. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, “Obesity remains highly prevalent among children in the United States and is associated with an ever-increasing burden of obesity-related diseases.”And effective pediatric obesity prevention and treatment requires both societal interventions and health care system innovation. One recently approved treatment is the use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists –or more commonly known as GLP-1s in adolescents.

In this episode we are talking about how they work, who they're for, and just as importantly, what they aren't. This conversation is your roadmap through the noise, and that's why I've invited one of our favorite guests, Dr. Christopher Bowling, a national expert on childhood obesity to break it all down.
