  • Big Questions: How Often Must I Forgive?
    Feb 26 2026

Here's the recording from night three of the revival I just led in Benoit, MS, on Jesus' reply to Peter's question, "How Often Must I Forgive?" Turns out, it seems that Jesus thinks forgiveness is an almost eternal journey. Let me know what you think!

  • Big Questions: Who is My Neighbor?
    Feb 25 2026

Here's the recording from night two of the revival I just led in Benoit, MS, on Jesus' reply to the question, "Who is my neighbor?" There are basketball rivalries, college acceptance questions, and a civil rights activist turned pastor to former Klan members in this reflection on Jesus' answer to that question through the parable of the Good Samaritan. Let me know what you think!

  • Big Questions: What is the Greatest Commandment?
    Feb 24 2026

Got a special treat for you today and all week. I’m going to put out the recordings from my recent time in Benoit, MS for you to enjoy. And they’re on theme with what we’re doing with Big Questions. They just happen to be three of the very few questions Jesus actually answered in the gospels.

What is the greatest commandment? Who is my neighbor? How often should I forgive?

I think there’s a lot to glean from Jesus’ answers to those questions and I hope you do too. Let me know what you think.

  • Big Questions: Whom Do You Love the Least?
    Feb 17 2026

I’m recording this episode from Benoit, MS, where I'm leading Benoit Union Church’s annual revival. Benoit Union Church is a community worth getting to know. For 126 years it has been a joint Presbyterian, Methodist, and Baptist congregation and as a friend who came up for the revival said, “It just might be the future of church in rural America.”

It’s been a blessing to be here and I would love to come offer this 3-day retreat or another one like it with you and your community. Send me a message on Instagram or Facebook (links in the show notes) and let’s make something happen.

  • Big Questions: Why does evil exist?
    Feb 10 2026

As we keep exploring these Big Questions we have of faith and we get from others in our lives, there’s one question that flows most directly from the one I asked last week. If God is good, why does evil exist?

I don’t know if I have a good answer. I might not have a satisfying answer, but I’ve wrestled with it a lot and I’ll share what I think with you today. Let me know what you think.

You might have your own answers to these questions we'll ponder over the next few weeks, and I’d encourage you to share those with the folks in your life. Strike up a conversation. These don’t have to be a one-way street. And if they bring up questions for you, let me know. I’d love to talk through them with you off line!

  • Big Questions: Why Do I Believe in God?
    Feb 3 2026

Well, here we are. The first true episode of Big Questions! Figured we’d start off with a real softball. Can’t you tell by the title?

I don’t know that my kids have asked me this question, but I know I’ve asked it myself and part of my response hit me as I walking the other day. I heard a quote from Steve Jobs and it got my wheels turning on why it is that we believe in God.

You might have your own answers to these questions we'll ponder over the next few weeks, and I’d encourage you to share those with the folks in your life. Strike up a conversation. These don’t have to be a one-way street. And if they bring up questions for you, let me know. I’d love to talk through them with you off line!

  • REPLAY: Swimming in Grief
    Jan 27 2026

In the midst of the heaviness of the world, I spent the weekend with three friends, one of whom lost his dad a few weeks ago. The time I would’ve used to get the first real episode of our Big Questions series together the way I would like it was better used being with some of my best friends in the world at that funeral. So, as I get the real first episode of Big Questions together more cleanly for you for next week, I’m sharing this episode about a powerful story of grief in the Bible. One that we don’t always consider through the eyes of grief. Let me know what you think.

Some good news in the midst of the heaviness - my wife’s non-profit, Nurture Our Future, raised over $10,000 this weekend for their partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a program that provides one free book per month to children from birth to age 5!

Also, I got invited to lead a revival! Never done that before, but I’m really looking forward to being with the good folks at Benoit Union Church - a Methodist, Baptist, and Presbyterian congregation - that’s been around for 125 years in the Mississippi Delta. Instead of asking big questions, we’ll be looking at the three questions Jesus directly answered and see if that revives anything in us. If you’re around or want to join, the revival will be February 15-18. Come join me!

  • Introducing Big Questions!
    Jan 20 2026

Welcome to God Knows Where's New Series, "Big Questions!" Big Questions is all about wrestling with some of the big questions we all ask of God, of our faith, of our tradition, in honest ways. It's what a lot of you have been asking for over the three years of God Knows Where. How would I answer this or that question? What would I say in this scenario?

So, here goes nothing. For the next, however long it takes, I’ll wrestle with some big questions and hope that it leads to some meaningful responses. Maybe these reflections will help you wrestle with the big questions you have for God in your own life. The doubts that have almost driven you away from faith. The experiences that have made you question if faith is even worth pursuing.

Ponder alongside your people while you listen and share this series with them from wherever you listen to God Knows Where.
