Proverbs 1:7

Do you own your stuff or does your stuff own you?

Jesus calls us to a better life, a life trusting in Him, being content with what he has given us.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind."

Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.”

Jesus Christ is where our confidence comes from; our identity is rooted in him and therefore we will not be tossed back and forth by the standards of the world and what is expected of us. It’s about a relationship with Jesus. That changes everything.

The hardest thing in my life has certainly been surrendering control to Jesus, but all things are possible with Jesus.

Matthew 6:34 "Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

For so many years I lived as a people pleaser, without even fully knowing it. We can't live by faith if we are living in fear. I hope this podcast encourages you as you go about your day!
