Proverbs 17:17 " A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."

1 John 13:34-35

"A new command I give you; love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By THIS all men will know you are my disciples, IF you love one another."

Ephesians 1:4 "Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be Holy and without fault in his eyes,"

How are we showing people Christs love? My challenge is to make a list of things you can do to show others love this week. Words of encouragement, kind deeds, making people feel seen and heard, those are all small things that can show others love that don't cost a thing.

I hope you're encouraged by this episode and challenged. I hope it grows your relationship with Jesus.

In this episode we take a deeper look at Isaiah 26:3 "you keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

We dive into what it means to have "perfect peace" and what the opposite of peace actually is. The mind is a powerful thing and our thoughts are often the thing that cause us so much suffering and confusion in this life. The amazing news is that Jesus promises us His peace that the world will never understand, not because of the absence of troubles but rather in the midst of them.

Psalm 112:6-8 "For the righteous will never be moved, he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news, his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady, he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries."

The challenge is to take inventory of your thoughts as well as really sit down and see what it is that is causing your chaos and anxieties. Is it an overbooked calendar, is it pity or unforgiveness or bitterness? What is the root of it for you?

What areas of your life are you discouraged and discontent in? Ask Jesus to reveal them to you and change what needs to be changed. The challenge is to take time to slow down, be present, and sabbath one day a week.
