About this listen

Oy with the recap podcasts already! Tara’s on Team Jess, Haley’s on Team Logan, but every week they come together to take you beyond the recap to discuss everything Gilmore: from themes and characters to parallels and plot holes and every cup of coffee in between.

Gilmore To Say is a love letter to a show that everyone is still binge-watching almost 25 autumns later. Whether you've watched Gilmore Girls once, every fall, or fall asleep to it every night, Gilmore To Say is for you. Follow along and they’ll lead you to aha moments, disagreements over boyfriends, cry fests about well-written storylines, and unending laughter that sometimes starts before Tara and Haley even introduce themselves.

These girlies have been watching this show since before they were old enough to attend Chilton, but now that they’re Lorelai’s age, they’ve realized they have more to say.

  • Gilmore To Read: Cara Bastone Delights Us With The Hottest Type of Man: Kind
    May 29 2025

My bookish besties, we ready to be delighted by the lovely Cara Bastone! The author of Ready or Not, our Reading Is Sexy book club pick for March.

Cara talks about where she got started writing and what it is like to edit her books (spoiler: it starts with devastation) We also discuss how she feels about Gilmore girls and which of Rory's boyfriends she finds herself most drawn too. And then we dive into a spoiler chat (spoiler warning in the episode!!!) about her novel Ready or Not, which she has such wonderful insight into the book and fan favorite character Mr Shep. Nothing but heart eyes for this man and for Eve Hatch herself.

    Hope you're delighted <3

In June, Reading Is Sexy is reading Not Safe For Work by Nisha J Tuli and Where You Read, I Will Follow is reading A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf.

  • Vasectomies and Recipes: More on Sookie & Jackson
    May 27 2025

After covering their courtship, engagement, and newlywed chapters, this week, we’re diving into Sookie and Jackson: the later years. Starting with their first pregnancy in Season 4, we’re exploring the arc of their relationship from Season 4-7 and discussing exactly when the writers make Sookie and Jackson caricatures of themselves, if the fake vasectomy really turned the fandom against Jackson, and how we ultimately feel about them as a couple by the end of the series. So grab a cup of coffee and get comfortable because Tara and Haley have more to say.
