  • Episode 1: Introduction
    Jun 14 2023

Welcome to the first episode of Forever On My Mind!

This first episode introduces my senior undergraduate thesis, of which are the first 5 episodes of this podcast. Here is the original description for this episode:

My name is Shane Louis, and you are listening to “Forever On My Mind:” Blues Songwriting in the 1960s, an Independent Study Podcast from the College of Wooster. In this project I look at the Blues during the 1960s, and how the songwriting shifted during this decade.

In this episode, I outline my argument that I will be exploring with this 5 episode project. Then, I give a brief historical context of the Blues before the 1960s. Next I detail the evidence I will be using, and briefly discuss the historiography of Blues scholarship.
