  • Raise Capital Faster: The 6 Must-Have Assets for Serious Investors
    Dec 22 2025

    Send us a text

In this session, Richard C. Wilson breaks down the six must-have assets almost every capital raiser is missing, and how to show up like an institutional-quality professional instead of “just another deal.”

Here are the 6 must-haves he covers:

Unique position – a clearly defined, memorable niche so investors know exactly where you fit and why you’re different.

One-line capital-raising pitch – a single sentence with 3 data points explaining what you do, why people trust you, and the value you add.

Founder video – a short, authentic video that builds trust, shows who you are, and briefly walks through what your company actually does.

Visual one-pager – a simple, scan-friendly one page that an investor can understand between the gate and their airplane seat.

Concise pitch deck – ideally 10–15 pages (or under 25 pages) that investors will really read, with the detail pushed to a data room instead of a 44-page info dump.

Due diligence data room – organized documents plus a master DDQ and background check ready to go so serious investors can dig in quickly.

    Richard also shares why:

    – Relationships drive investment decisions more than IRR projections
    – Consistent, niche content (talks, videos, articles, etc.) makes you locally, then nationally known
    – Tools like CRMs, AI call transcription, outbound dialers, and even old-school direct mail can dramatically improve your investor follow-up
    – Protecting your time, saying no, and moving fast are common patterns among the most successful family offices and founders

If you’re raising capital or advising portfolio companies, this talk gives you a practical checklist for becoming investor-ready and upgrading the quality of the conversations you’re having.

  • Ultra-Healthy, Ultra-Wealthy: How Dr. Dat Nguyen Scaled, Sold & Rewired His Life
    Dec 19 2025

    Send us a text

In this episode, Richard C. Wilson sits down with his friend and investor club member Dr. Dat Nguyen — former laser dentist turned Proctor consultant — to break down how he scaled, sold, and reinvested his way to financial and lifestyle freedom.

    Dat shares how he:

    • Built and scaled a niche laser dentistry practice with zero waiting room time and high-end technology

    • Prepared his exit strategy, compared DSO vs. private sale offers, and chose freedom over squeezing out every last dollar

    • Avoided trading time for money by shifting into mindset and performance coaching for dentists, doctors, and business owners

    • Approaches due diligence as an investor by leaning on trusted communities and experts instead of going it alone

    • Stays ultra-healthy and ultra-happy with MURF workouts, daily habits, tracking health metrics, and constantly upgrading his “self-image”

    • Uses mindset principles (faith, focus, law of vibration/attraction) to stay positive even when business and life get tough

If you’re a founder, healthcare professional, or investor who wants more freedom, better health, and a bigger future, this conversation will give you both the mindset and practical moves to get there.

  • Why Billionaires Don’t Coast: Positioning, Focus & Niche Strategy for Serious Capital Raisers
    Dec 17 2025

    Send us a text

In this live investor event session, Richard C. Wilson breaks down what truly separates billionaires and centimillionaires from “normal” successful people, and why most founders, fund managers, and advisors unintentionally take their foot off the gas once they hit a few million.

Richard shares insights from dinners with heads of an $8B+ family office, and then dives deep into one of the most overlooked force multipliers in capital raising: positioning. He explains why the founder of Paychex refuses to invest in any company that isn’t branded to win, and how a simple rebrand at $8B AUM helped one wealth advisor grow past $25B+ in assets.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why top families keep pushing while others coast at $5–10M
    • How a crystal-clear niche and brand name can make your firm “preeminent” in your space
    • The Jim Collins hedgehog concept applied to capital raisers (passion, profit, and DNA)
    • How to choose a 7% niche that captures 70% of the profits
    • Why generic names like “XYZ Capital” quietly kill replies, deal flow, and investor trust
    • How to send investor emails that deliver real value first (checklists, DDQ templates, tools) instead of “Can I pitch you my deal?”

Richard also shares real before/after examples of rebrands that moved firms from confusing and forgettable to institutional-grade and obvious at a glance, plus how his own YouTube positioning has led to cold inbound from founders doing tens of millions in revenue.
