The impact of being quarantined, experiencing illness and loss, away from the normal routine of social interactions with peers has left many individuals in a new headspace. As we help educators pre-plan their next steps after the pandemic, what do you believe should be at the forefront of their minds when addressing trauma and stress for teachers and/or students? Let’s explore how we can move from reactive to proactive to decrease inequities in teaching and learning after the pandemic to include the assessing the mental health state of the community, understanding the impact of mental health on students and student’s learning, understanding the influence of mental health on educators and providing instruction.
