Minutos antes de las ocho de la mañana del 30 diciembre de 1985 la banda terrorista ETA asesinaba en Lasarte (Guipúzcoa), al ex guardia civil y jefe de vigilancia de la factoría Michelín de esa localidad Alejando Saénz cuando se dirigía a pie a su trabajo en la que iba a ser su última jornada laboral. El crimen ha prescrito.
