In 1979, NYPD SWAT responded to a suspected serial killer inside an abandoned warehouse near the Gowanus Canal. What they found was a missing autistic boy with impossible abilities and eyes that burned like molten copper. Only one officer survived, and his report led directly to the creation of Division 13.

In early 1980, newly appointed Division 13 commander Dave Shipman is assigned his first official investigation: the disappearance of a woman named Evelyn Carter. What begins as a routine missing persons case turns into something far more disturbing when the word NULLBORN is discovered carved into the wall of her office… and a mysterious VHS tape is recovered from her desk.

The recording is not a plea for help.
It is a message.

Following the tape’s instructions leads Division 13 to an abandoned industrial site, where the unit discovers the truth too late. The Nullborn are organized. They are watching. And someone named Malrik knows Division 13 exists.
