    Mar 22 2026

In this Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for March 22, 2026, we reflect on Psalm 51:18–19 (ESV), “Do Good to Zion in Your Good Pleasure.” As Psalm 51 concludes, David’s prayer expands from personal repentance to concern for the whole people of God. After asking the Lord for cleansing and renewal, David now prays that God would bless Zion and strengthen Jerusalem.

These verses remind us that sin never affects only the individual. It impacts families, communities, and the Church. David therefore asks the Lord to restore and protect His people according to His mercy and good pleasure. When God restores His people, worship is also restored.

Earlier David said God does not delight in empty sacrifices, but here he explains that the Lord delights in “right sacrifices”—worship that flows from hearts renewed by forgiveness. True worship is the response of those who have received God’s mercy.

This devotion points us to Christ, whose sacrifice restores sinners and builds up His Church so that God’s people may live in faith and praise.

    Mar 21 2026

In this Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for March 21, 2026, we reflect on Psalm 51:16–17 (ESV), “For You Will Not Delight in Sacrifice.” These verses teach an important truth about repentance and true worship before God. King David recognizes that religious rituals alone cannot repair the damage of sin. God does not desire empty outward performance but a heart that is humble before Him.

Psalm 51 reminds us that the sacrifices of God are “a broken spirit” and “a broken and contrite heart.” True repentance means honestly confessing sin and relying entirely on the mercy of the Lord. The good news is that God does not despise the sinner who comes in humility. Instead, He welcomes the repentant and grants forgiveness.

This devotion also points forward to Jesus Christ, the true and perfect sacrifice offered for the forgiveness of sins. Because of Christ’s work on the cross, the repentant sinner receives mercy, cleansing, and restoration.

If you are searching for a daily Bible devotion, Psalm 51 Bible study, Christian repentance teaching, or Christ-centered encouragement, this message will strengthen your faith.

Then the forgiven sinner responds with praise, testimony, and a desire to help others return to the Lord. King David acknowledges that sin is not only something we commit but a condition present from birth. In this Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for March 16, 2026, we reflect on Psalm 51:3–4 (ESV), “For I Know My Transgressions.” This Christian devotion explores confession, repentance, and the truth about sin before a holy God. King David speaks with complete honesty, acknowledging that his sin is always before him and recognizing that every sin is ultimately against God Himself.

This passage teaches the importance of true repentance. Instead of shifting blame or minimizing wrongdoing, Scripture calls believers to confess sin openly before the Lord. Yet this confession is not made in despair. The same God who exposes sin is the God who forgives through the saving work of Jesus Christ. Through His cross and resurrection, sinners receive mercy, cleansing, and restoration.
