Why Are You Cast Down, O My Soul?

Psalms 42:1-11

There are several reasons why people fall into depression. Some have lost loved ones that are no longer with. Some have lost their health, no longer can they do what they used to do, some have lost their wealth,, and no longer can buy the things that they would like. But if you have been saved, you have not lost the Lord, even though you’re feeling down. Look up, let God lift you up by his wonderful love.

Matthew 1:16-25

My prayer is that you would not be so dogmatic about the day,

And be right in your mind, but wrong in your heart.

Let your heart be filled with joy that God sent his only begotten son, the savior of the world. Can you say hallelujah? Praise be to God for the wonderful birth of Jesus Christ.

O Lord, Be Gracious to Me

Psalms 41:1-13

God almighty looks down from heaven and sees how we treat other people. If we look at the poor and look down upon them, or we look at the sinner and say there’s no help for them, we lift up ourselves above them, and God sees it. But if we humble ourselves and be like Jesus, and help the brokenhearted, heal the sick, and yes, raise the dead by giving them the gospel. Then God will look down upon us and will surely bless us.
