  • Ep 101 - Kaley Klemp
    Jul 19 2022

Kaley Klemp is a sought after Executive Coach, Speaker, Author, & Facilitator for Leadership Teams and YPO Forums. Kaley guides CEOs and teams who want to deepen their potential, increase organizational resilience, and become their best. She works with leaders on deepening their own self-awareness and helps them build conscious leadership into the fabric of their culture. She coaches leaders to be themselves, but a best version of themselves who is more dynamic and tapped into their unique genius. An expert in small-group dynamics and leadership development - Kaley leads off-sites to help teams end drama and instead communicate and interact in ways that achieve their strategic objectives—even in the face of challenging circumstances. In today's episode we dive into the Enneagram and Conscious Leadership models, which are two tools Kaley uses to help teams foster a common vision, build trust, develop authentic relationships and use creative collaboration to achieve superior results. It is an outstanding conversation that touches on...:

    ● How we get in our own way

    ● What if we don’t like feedback & criticism?

    ● The overly empathetic feedback response zig-zag that can sink us

    ● Common leadership archetypes and shadows

    ● Personas: a tool we can use to become more dynamic

    ● Challenges CEOs face, & tools for dealing

    ● 80/80 mindset for teams (radical generosity & shared success)

At the time of our conversation, Kaley recently co-authored The 80/80 Marriage: A New Model for a Happier, Stronger Relationship...with her husband Nate. The concepts in this book, push couples beyond the limited idea of 50/50 "fairness" toward a new model grounded on radical generosity and shared success, calling each partner to contribute 80 percent to build the strongest possible relationship. Drawing from more than one hundred interviews with couples from all walks of life, the 80/80 model of marriage provides practical, powerful solutions to transform your relationship and open up space for greater love and connection. However, the concepts are also percolating into top organizations, who are using them to strengthen executive relationships and create a peak-performance culture.

  • Ep 103 - Madhavi Rajan
    Jul 19 2022

This episode is an interview with powerhouse Madhavi Rajin, one of Intel’s Chiefs of Staff and a fellow Stanford GSB classmate and strategist. Trained as an engineer, after 12+ years she realized she needed to work on things that would have more direct impact on how technology was enabling people - and moved to product management & then to strategy. As she stretched into these roles, she found tools to grow her technical & people skills, including the program at Stanford GSB, which she started while on maternity leave for her second child. Prior to this program, she recalls having few sponsors and mentors and never broadcasting about her work. The program at Stanford gave her skills she did not possess before, and we discuss this in depth throughout the episode.

Madhavi does not stop at her own career growth though, she is also passionate about building bridges for women in business, helping them move through the middle of organizations, up!

As a leader, Madhavi strives to understand people first, and as a result people tend to want to do the work, rather than just obey orders. We talk about the trade offs and sacrifices that come with this approach and Madhavi shares about how she’s shifted her style over time, based on increased self awareness and new contexts. Madhavi is a powerful and energetic force of nature, and our conversation is sure to inspire. Enjoy! And thank you Madhavi.
