  • Lenten Prayer 3: Overcoming Setbacks
    Mar 4 2026

Faithful God, as we gather for the third Wednesday of Lent, we come with honest hearts, aware of the setbacks and struggles we each carry.

Thank you for the unshakeable promise of Romans 8:28—that you work all things together for good for those who love you.

In every trial, disappointment, and obstacle, remind us that you are not distant, but right beside us, weaving purpose from pain and hope from hardship.

Lord, help us to see our setbacks not as defeats, but as setups for your comeback in our lives. When doors close or dreams are delayed, plant in us the truth that you are still in control and that your plans are always for our good.

Papa God, give us the courage to trust you when the way forward seems unclear and to look for the lessons and blessings hidden in every challenge. Strengthen our faith so that our struggles become stepping stones, shaping us for greater things ahead.

May our hearts be open to share our testimonies, so others may find encouragement and hope in their own valleys.

Turn every trial into a testimony of your faithfulness, and let us walk forward with renewed confidence and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Challenge: Share a testimony or word of encouragement with someone facing a hard time this week, whether in person, over the phone, or by text or social media. Be an encourager today.

Heavenly Father, on this second Wednesday of Lent, we come before you with humble hearts, mindful of the incredible power you’ve placed in our words.

Your Word reminds us that the tongue carries both life and death.

    Today, we choose life.

Cleanse our lips from criticism and cynicism—toward ourselves and others.

Let our speech overflow with blessing, hope, and faith.

Fill our emotions with kind feelings, our minds with renewal, and our soul with joy.

Teach us to declare your promises over every part of our lives, to speak victory in the face of adversity, and to confidently affirm your goodness even when we feel discouraged or defeated.

Gracious God, we place every connection in our lives before you. Strengthen and guide us in this vital area.

  • Gratitude Over Grumpiness
    Feb 9 2026

Gracious Heavenly Father, we gather together in gratitude for Jesus.

Lord, when the pressures of business and life push us toward grumpiness—when systems break, and targets are missed—remind us that we are never alone.

As Psalm 23 promises, you are our Shepherd, guiding us through every crisis and restoring our souls when we feel weary.

We thank you for leading us beside refreshing waters, even when circumstances feel like raging storms.

Thank you for preparing a table before us, even in the midst of stress and adversity.

We choose gratitude over grumbling, not because of perfect conditions but because of your faithfulness.

Father, help us let thankfulness reframe our reality.

May gratitude widen our perspective and unlock new clarity, creativity, and courage.

Let us lead with hope, not heaviness; with encouragement, not cynicism.

Make us salt and light in our workplaces and communities—reflecting your peace and goodness.

Lord, we receive your provision, protection, and power for today.

We ask for goodness and mercy to follow us.

With grateful hearts, we trust your guidance, and we welcome your overflowing blessings.

    Amen.
