 In this episode, we're telling the story of Staff Sergeant Vanessa Schieber. A childhood spent around auto care gave her purpose once she decided to enlist. Serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as a convoy mechanic, she earned two Purple Hearts for her bravery in these years. Since, she has fostered community with veterans locally and created a non-profit for veterans seeking a restorative, community-based role in their previous service locations.
