After being honorably discharged from the United States Marine
Corps in 1976, Kevin worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 18
months. He then became a police officer. Kevin worked a variety of
assignments including, Career Criminal Apprehension Unit,
Undercover Narcotics, and was a SWAT member for 13 years.
Kevin’s last 15 years of police service were after becoming a
Christian. This changed Kevin’s life and way of doing police work.
He began to view gang members, women caught in Sex Trafficking
and people living in under-served communities with a new heart of
compassion.
Kevin and his wife Teresa founded Side-By-Side Church International in 1994. Using his vacation time while working in law enforcement, Kevin began traveling internationally to serve in villages and slums in the some of the most violent and destitute countries, including countries were the Gospel is not allowed. After completing a 30 year career in law enforcement God worked through Kevin to develop a faith based ministry called Lives Worth Saving. The mission is to impact gang violence as well
as developing teams to help human trafficking victims exit the life. In 2016 Kevin worked in Iraq and Syria establishing teams to assist Yazidi women and children escape from ISIS, as well as working with pastors in East Africa to prevent child sacrifices. Most recently, while in Kyiv, Ukraine, Kevin helped to establish a Tactical Operations Center to evacuate women and
children at the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Since 2018, Kevin has been educating churches, schools, businesses, and communities to mitigate and survive Active Shooter events.
Kevin published "Run To The Cry For Help" in 2024. It is a record of the many miracles God did in his life as he responded to the cries for help from those who were being persecuted and murdered by dictators throughout the world.

Kevin is a man of God.
