  • Waking Up White America
    Mar 2 2021

How do you get your white friends and family to see that systemic racism is real and pervasive in America?

Talking about race is frowned upon in social circles. Racism is considered one of the three topics you shouldn't bring up if you want to have a civil conversation, along with politics and religion.  The problem with the "ignore it and it will go away approach is that racism flourishes in an atmosphere of silence and ambivalence.  Worse, in America, racism is the status quo for most Americans and it will stay that way until White America wakes up.

Stan and Dan talk about strategies for getting those closest to you to "wake up" and take action.
