• 20 | Adopted Schools (With Brenda South and Marcus Clark)
    Aug 3 2025

If your child lived at 1910 Sycamore View Road, they would go to Shelby Oaks Elementary. In this 50 for 50 episode, Anna talks with Brenda South and Marcus Clark about our adopted schools: Shelby Oaks Elementary and Kingsbury Middle and High School, and their time teaching at these schools. In 2028, Sycamore View Church will turn 50 years old, and we want to do this right. We want to use the next few years as a season of reflection and preparation: reflection concerning all God has done through this church and preparation for God’s future here. We want to be great story-tellers. So we’re launching what we’re calling “50 for 50.” Telling fifty stories. Over fifty months. Celebrating fifty years. At the beginning of every month until the spring of 2028, we will release a new story celebrating events, ministries, people, and risks, all in attempt to honor ways God has shaped and formed this church.Sycamore View is a community church based in Memphis, Tennessee. Lee Brown is a special part of Sycamore View history. Lee was on and off the streets of Memphis for over twenty years. And here at Sycamore View, we get to be a part of a story God is still writing, and we're glad Lee Brown was a part of it.In 2028, Sycamore View Church will turn 50 years old, and we want to do this right.
