I have every one of the DC Max Wolfe series and didn’t believe Tony Parson could achieve even greater heights of writing, but in my humble opinion this is his best Max Wolfe to date and they have ALL been corkers. Colin Mace’s narration is superb and is the voice I hear whenever I think of DC Max Wolfe. I’m not in the habit of writing reviews, but I don’t want any readers of superbly written detective crime novels to miss out on this brilliant series: the excitement, plots, great characters, descriptions of London and The Black Museum of Old Scotland Yard and last but not least the small, loving family of DC Max Wolfe, Scout and Stan. Thank you, Tony Parsons and Colin Mace.

This is yet another in a fabulous series with DI Max Wolf. While it stands alone, I highly recommend you start at book 1 so you can understand the machinations of the complex and compelling relationships across the series.
Great narration and every central character is alive and so very human.
Can’t wait for the next one!
