Ren’s homecoming wish list includes:

  • Arman not bashing everyone’s heads together (at least not without him)
  • Getting the fortress built before the Mongs attack (not at the rate they’re going with all the the thefts happening)
  • Going home without incident (also, again, not likely)

What it did not include was:

  • Social reform
  • A child
  • A raiding party
  • Arman actually using his words

Life once again proved reality is better than fantasy, and Ren couldn’t be happier.

Yes I have read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I usually prefer books to audibles but I enjoyed both versions of this story very much. The narration was extremely good. I’m only sorry that the first book isn’t on audible as well. I fully intend to listen to all of AJ‘s book this way if I can as I loved them all when I first read them. All of the audible editions of hers I have listened to thus far have been top notch. No surprise really as I doubt she ever releases anything that doesn’t the reach highest level of quality. I completely recommend this one.
