Publisher's Summary

The sands of time never fall the same way twice. Jessie thought he’d lost it all, but what if there was a chance to save Scarlet, however slim? There is a time machine in the subterranean levels of the tower. The only problem is that it kills everyone who tries to use it. If he could figure out how to activate it without being turned into a mass of quivering flesh, he could go back. He could fix things.

Deep in the zombie-infested wastelands, hidden in a military base inside area 51, is the operator's manual. Going after it is suicide, but it’s also the only shot he’s got. If he can find it and survive the jump, he might be able to save her life. He might be able to prevent the outbreak. He might even be able to save the world.

If you’re looking for a hair-raising thrill ride through hell itself, then look no further. Full of blood, guts, and carnage, this post-apocalyptic series will keep you on the edge until the very end.

Get ready for tragedies in time.

Time Travel...yuck.

starting to lose me at this point. now that the time travel door is open this can only play out in a long convoluted story about paradoxes and how to avoid them. This did start off about zombies, right?

Time

I'll be honest, the end of the last book had me lost, in fact time travel in general confuses me BUT I really enjoyed this book. I'm not saying I understood all of it, that will take a reread for sure. I'm so looking forward to the next book, at this point the story can go on for who knows how long! As always Eric Shelman gave an amazing performance.

It's about Time

In the latest installment of Zombie Road series, the Road Angel finds himself on a mission in an attempt to save Scarlett before she dies. Inside the Tower and in Horowitz's hands is a machine that could well decide the past and present of all mankind. Jessie has learned how to use the Time machine and Horowitz wants that information at any cost. Each has their own agenda; Jessie just wants to save Scarlett before she is killed while Horowitz wants to be a God. Each has his own mission but what neither understands is that Time is anything but fluid. Any disruption in the stream will lead to dire consequences. With each believing they can jump back and forth while achieving their goal, Time will teach them just how wrong they both are. Easily one of the best installments of the series and am really looking forward to the next, hopefully not final chapter. Sit back and enjoy the ride, this is one that is very hard to either put down, if you're reading the book, or turn off if you, like me, are listening to it. As usual Eric Shelman, one of my favorite authors, does an excellent job narrating.

Amazing twist.

I am a huge fan of post apocalyptic zombie books. I have listened to all of David’s books and enjoyed his take on things. What I was not prepared for was time travel. Some of my favorite books are about time travel I have to say this was one hell of a ride. I don’t believe in spoilers but let me say that David has moved into another league with this one. The science is sound without being boring, all of our favorite characters from past books are included. I can’t wait for the next book to make it to audible. If you follow the author you know he has a spinoff series called Feral Children book one is out and book two is in process. Thanks for the ride.

Great writing! Added some interesting new lines

Out of the gate, I love Eric A Shelman's narration. He always adds something special to an "audible" book. And he brings this book to life with the same recognizable characters. I tend to get confused with heavy sci fi content, but David kept this to where I could basically follow along. (as long as there's no pop quiz) I loved it, and can't wait for the next one. The time travel really added an element that's fresh, new, and exciting. I want to understand what's going on more with the "other" Jessie and Scarlett. Who are they? how did they get there? Basically the same questions Jessie has. Ha. Basically, just loved it! As always!

Pleasantly surprised

I wasn’t sure about the whole time travel but I love how it told the backstory about the virus why and how it was created and by who. As always the performance in the series is great. Looking forward to the next book.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Mind-blowing Good

I must confess that my mind simply cannot understand time travel theories. The concept totally baffles me. However, this book is fantastic and it has a lot of time travel theories. I understood enough to find this book impossible to put down. This entire series has been one of my favorite in the zombie/end of the world genre. The story is so fascinating and original. Simpson has a distinct talent for creating vivid and interesting characters. Some are lovable and some are despicable. I hate for each book to end. Warning: this book as some especially brutal scenes. One stands out in particular. You will know it when it comes and if you are really squeamish, skip to the next chapter. It does not happen to Jessie. When I first started this series there were six books available. Now I am at the point where I have to wait for the next book. This is going to be hard to do. A series this good needed a master narrator. I am so glad that Eric Shelman. He is equally good with with male and female voices. He has a consistent recognizable and suitable accent for each character. He paces the volume and emphasis perfectly to suit the situation. Shelman's comedic timing is spot on. His voice is pleasant - not too deep and not too high. He is just all around fantastic.

Another amazing addition to the series!

I absolutely love the Zombie Road series and this addition does not disappoint! There is nothing better around if you’re missing a post apocalyptic fix. Am guilty of not reviewing the others yet (working on that!!)

Just when I thought the series was over, David releases another fine book. If you like the others I'm sure you'll like this. It's well worth the purchase price. Looking forward to the next one !

Nowhere near as good as the rest of the series.

Somewhat disappointing to be honest. It is a far cry from the fantastic first three books. This one just goes off the deep end regarding the story. So far removed from the series, that it may as well be a stand alone book. Unfortunate. Narration was as good as always, given the material was poor in he first place.

More more more!!! Amazing

I love this series, it is without a doubt the best zombie series I have ever read and ever will read! The author flawlessly introduces time travel into this book creating a sci fi zombie filled masterpiece. I utterly enjoyed every moment and cant wait for the next book in the series. Thank you David A Simpson for taking me on an amazing journey out of this world and into one full of bravery, mystery, action, zombies and much much more :-)
