I shouldn’t be surprised now that any book in the series would be so enjoyable. I just assumed that a bunch of dead people would be uninteresting. I was wrong!! I could easily read a spin off series with Hail and Marissa. Loved all of the characters in this book.

I read Beyond the Veil in tandem with Sorrow and Starlight and I think that is definitely the way to go. Yes, there are times where it can feel a little repetitive because both books are taking place along the same timeline, but I really enjoyed it overall and felt . It's not strictly necessary to read this book, but I think it adds so much more value and understanding into how some things in Sorrow and Starlight actually happened. I also just loved meeting Tory and Darcy's parents and learning more about them.
