Publisher's Summary

"Author Laurie Gelman delivers her second in the Class Mom series in a style no less enthusiastic than her first narration." (AudioFile Magazine)

In the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Laurie Gelman’s "irreverent and hilarious" (The New York Post) hit Class Mom, brash, lovable Jen Dixon is back with a new class and her work cut out for her.

If you’ve ever been a room parent or school volunteer, Jen Dixon is your hero. She says what every class mom is really thinking, whether in her notoriously frank emails or standup-worthy interactions with the micromanaging PTA President and the gamut of difficult parents. Luckily, she has the charm and wit to get away with it - most of the time. Jen is sassier than ever but dealing with a whole new set of challenges in the world of parental politics and at home.

She’s been roped into room-parenting yet again for her son Max’s third grade class, but as her husband buries himself in work, her older daughters navigate adulthood, and Jen’s own aging parents start to need some parenting themselves, Jen gets pulled in more directions than any one mom, or superhero, can handle.

Refreshingly down-to-earth and brimming with warmth, Dixon’s next chapter will keep you wondering what’s really going on under the veneer of polite parent interactions and have you laughing along with her the whole way.

LOL moments

I loved Class Mom and was so excited to see a sequel. This book can be read as a stand alone novel. It was so hilarious at some moments that I literally laughed out loud.

I would suggest this book to moms with school age children or had children. I don’t think you will get the humor and appreciate the storyline otherwise. And if you’ve been an active school volunteer and/or room mom, this is a MUST read. You will love it!

The author read the book and did a fantastic job. It made it feel more like a friend telling you about her life...chatting over coffee.

The plot didn’t make me want to listen to the book in a few short days, it was the humor. I couldn’t wait for the next joke. But the story was entertaining.

Enjoy!

Sooooo funny !

I loved the first book, Class Mom, and this one is just as good. Every school should have a Jen Dixon, class mom, to keep everyone else real. This is what I want in a book with humor - believable characters that don't insult my intelligenc and snappy dialogue with a bit of snark, Jen, you're the best !
Laurie Gelman, you rule ! Love your writing and your narrration.

Fun story

Laurie Gelman is witty. I enjoyed snickering as I listened. I’m eager for book 3.

Jen is a hoot!

Excellent follow up to Class Mom! The zingers & one-liners in this book had me giggling out loud. I love her quick wittiness, banter and ‘old school’ references throughout the book. This is just the lighthearted book I needed after several heavy reads.

I love that she narrates her own books with the vibrancy she does. I can’t wait for more from Laurie! Definitely a new favorite author for me!

Hysterical!!

So glad Laurie Gelman wrote a follow up!! The story of a class mom rings so true and familiar to me - a 3 time veteran class mom. From the PTA President down to the way her 3rd grader Max changed in behavior sounded so much like my own story, and I only wish I’d been brave enough to write emails the way she did. Thanks for the laughs. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!!!

Another good one from Laurie Gelman

I was a fan of the first book, Class Mom, and it was nice to have all the characters back again. Same vibe. I actually wish these books were longer, lighthearted and easy to listen to!

Painful

Words are poorly enunciated and the sentences run on, with little infliction making it not only difficult to follow but boring at best

As good as the first

I love her humor. I love her easy writing style. It reminds me of the year I was a class mom.

Another Good One

Laurie is funny, but yet you feel like you could be friends with her. So down to earth in her storytelling.
