Publisher's Summary

City boy Chase Russell is on the fast track to self-destruction. A star athlete, he gets into trouble with drugs and alcohol. Fulfilling a community service sentence in Yellowstone National Park is the last thing he wants to do. After a night of drinking in the park, he wakes up to find his new friends gone, and everything around him has changed.

Sarah Osborne grew up in the rugged Yellowstone wilderness. She can hunt and track right alongside the most experienced men. When some Indians drop a near-dead man off on her doorstep, she doesn't know what to think. He's convinced he's from the future, and wants to find a way home. Chase has no idea how he ended up time traveling to the past. He doesn't know the first thing about surviving without modern conveniences.

Finding your own food means a quick trip to the nearest fast food joint, not hunting and foraging for it. Time and again, his will is tested to stay alive in this untamed land. Is his growing love for a brave woman who shows him what it truly means to be a man strong enough to keep him in the past, or is he still determined to return to the ease and comforts of the future?

Kept Me Wanting More

Would you consider the audio edition of Yellowstone Redemption to be better than the print version?

I don't think it is necessarily better than the print version, because it is essentially the same. I did LOVE Nick Sarando's interpretation of the story, and he kept me captivated with his emotional performance. The story is absolutely amazing the way you are drawn into the Yellowstone Wilderness with the characters and feel like you are right there with them experiencing every bit of danger, fear, anticipation and desire.

What other book might you compare Yellowstone Redemption to and why?

The only other book I could possibly compare this to would be the first book in this series, "Yellowstone Heart Song", by Peggy L. Henderson. It's the next generation in the family, with the same setting, but with Chase Russell as the bad boy who ends up coming back 200 years, and must learn to adjust to life without modern conveniences, as well as how to behave as a gentleman (not an easy thing for him to learn).

Which character – as performed by Nick Sarando – was your favorite?

Nick totally nailed the character of Chase. He brought out the wise-guy, womanizing modern aspects of the main character to a 'T'. But he also did a great job of portraying all of the characters differently. I absolutely love listening to a story where the narrator is able to differentiate all of the characters, not only with the tone of their voice, but also by their personalities. This narrator did a great job with this.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"Passion ignites as unlikely couple meets across time"

Any additional comments?

This is a fantastic book. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves romance, adventure, and time travel (and even if you don't). We are allowed to experience their adventures and dangers in the Yellowstone wilderness along with the passion and romance that is beautifully described with this couple. The characters, settings, events and storyline are all so believable, you will quickly become immersed in this books and wish it would never-end!

You never know how strong you are until you know!

Where does Yellowstone Redemption rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Yellowstone Redemption?

The last leg of Chases "race" against the Blackfoot. I felt my heart matching Chases as he is avoiding being killed!

Have you listened to any of Nick Sarando’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Nick is a GREAT performer. I could have sworn that Nick somehow got into my mind and captured Chase exactly how I heard him in my head when I read the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Boys will be boys, until they understand what it means to be a man.

Any additional comments?

I think this is one of my favorite Yellowstone books. Peggy masterfully told the story and made her characters very believable. I think that is why I love this series so much!

Highly Recommend

Would you consider the audio edition of Yellowstone Redemption to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed reading the book but I also enjoyed listening to the audio. It just added another wonderful way to enjoy a favorite book. Now that I know how nice it is to enjoy a book both ways, I will not hesitate to buy a audio of a favorite book for my library.

What about Nick Sarando’s performance did you like?

Nick's performance as Chase was perfect. He had that smirk in his voice just as I pictured in my mind when I read the book. Nick was also very convincing as each character and I was able to recognized each one by the change of tone in his voice. I enjoyed listening to him and hope to hear him in other audio books.

Any additional comments?

After a drinking binge and passing out in Yellowstone, Chase Russell finds himself time traveling two hundred years into the past to the year 1835. He meets Sarah, Daniel's and Aimee's daughter, ( Yellowstone Heart Song) and this begins a wonderful story of Chase with his bad boy cocky ways, growing into a man worthy of standing proud and confident along with the best of the mountain men. I have to admit, I didn't care for Chase in the beginning, but as I got further into the book, he started to grow on me and I could understand a little of why he acted and thought the way he did. And after the episode with the Blackfoot Indians, I have to say, he has stolen a piece of my heart and has become one of my favorite heroes. Sarah, strong and brave and so much like her mother, falls in love with Chase, but will her love be strong enough to keep him here when he wants so badly to go back to his time.
This is part two of the Yellowstone Romance Series and just as wonderful as the first one. Full of romance, laughter and parts that had me crying and that all makes a book worth reading and listening to. Peggy L. Henderson once again with the help of Nick Sarando's narration, brought her characters to life and all were very believable. I am looking forward to listening to part three in the series. JudyE

Great adventure!!

I had read this book a while back and didn't get it reviewed on here, so wanted to read it again and give it a review. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Chase & Sarah's story, and all the adventures they had during this book in Yellowstone. Peggy L Henderson has become one of my favorite authors and I've enjoyed all her books in this Yellowstone series, as well as her other works. Great job on a fantastic read!

Chase and Sarah

A part of Peggy Henderson's Yellowstone series, it was able to be a standalone but works better if read in order. Yellowstone scenery is described beautifully. Loved the characters and time travel storyline. The narrator did well but as a matter of personal preference wasn't my favorite. The author's work, 5 stars. The narration only 4.

What a love story!

Would you listen to Yellowstone Redemption again? Why?

Yes. I always enjoyed listening more than once when the story is done well. Nick did make the performance enjoyable to listen again and again. I love to listen more than once because I miss something during the first listening. People talk to me or the phone rings.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chase - Both major characters went through change but Chase suffered as he took on every problem as it was his fault.

What does Nick Sarando bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He did an excellent performance of the characters. He was able to soften his voice for the female characters - Sarah and her mother. With his accents, Nick was able to do a different voice for the male characters. I think he did an excellent job on Chase showing all the different emotions.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Running for your life.

Any additional comments?

This is a great book to either read or listen to the Audible version. I thought the Audible version brought life to the book.

Ending Surprising

So far I have truly enjoyed Peggy L. Henderson's Yellowstone books. I usually finish listening to a book in a day or two at the most. However due to illness this one took over two weeks. No matter where I stopped I could start again without any lack of understanding. The winter is THAT good. The ending totally surprised me which is most pleasing because it is seldom that I haven't figured out the ending.

Good Story - Terrible Narration

I gave up after 4 chapters. The story line was fine, following on from the first Yellowstone book but the narration was the worst I have ever heard on an audio book, Nick Sarando not only has a very nasal voice but he appears not to open his mouth enough and talks at such a fast pace that a lot - and I mean a lot - of what he says is unintelligible. He also speaks in a monotone which also detracts from the story.
Definitely would not buy a book with this narrator again.
