Publisher's Summary

Wyatt's been away. Now he's back.

The job's a classic jewel heist: quick, clean and simple. Except for one thing. Wyatt prefers to work alone, but this job belongs to Eddie Oberin and his very smart ex-wife, Lydia. She has the inside information; Wyatt has the planning genius and meticulous preparation. What could possibly go wrong?

Plenty. But when you cross Wyatt, you don't walk away.

Taut plots, brilliant writing and relentless pace; plus an unforgettable cast, including the ever-elusive Wyatt himself: these are the hallmarks of Garry Disher's Wyatt series.

A classic Wyatt story

it's a typical Wyatt story that you'd expect if you've read/listened to the other titles in this series. Great performance as usual as well! My only issue is it doesn't pick up where the previous novel left off, leaving me curious to find out what happened to those lose ends

very entertaining

love Garry Disher. Wish there were more writers at this level writing crime. The narration is good but you can hear him breathing. not his fault, imagine it's sloppy production

Stereotyped characters act out a heist

Not my cup of tea at all. I have often wanted to try a Garry Disher novel, and may try one outside of his Wyatt series. This one left me cold - I could not care less about these cardboard characters, and had trouble following the plot. The reader was good, though extremely fast. He had some odd mispronunciations, eg 'granite' said the same way as 'cordite'. Wasn't there a producer to pick him up on mistakes like this?
