Story
Rebecca Keane has it all figured out. With a successful career as an Army surgeon and a fresh promotion to lieutenant colonel, she loves her life leading a surgical team. Even if that life means she’s spent years hiding her sexuality and ignoring her desires under the Army’s "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy. Then Captain Sabine Fleischer’s arrival sets off an attraction that cracks Rebecca’s carefully cultivated armor and brings about fresh complications.

Story
Falling stars are supposed to be a lucky sign, but not for Austen. Her new job as a secretary in an international games company isn't off to a good start. Her first assignment - decorating the Christmas tree in the lobby - results in a trip to the ER after Dee, the company's second-in-command, gets hit by the star-shaped tree topper. Dee blames her instant attraction to Austen on her head wound, not the magic of the falling star. She's determined not to act on it, especially since Austen has no idea that Dee is practically her boss.

Story
Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Story
Caroline Parker knows three things to be true. First, she is going to be Boston's most sought-after divorce attorney by 35. Second, given how terrible her romantic track record is, falling in love isn't in the cards for her. And third, Christmas only brings her bad luck - being broken up with not once, not twice, but three times during the holidays is proof enough of that. When she runs into Hannah Dalton on Christmas Eve, she has no reason to believe her luck will change. After all, though Hannah is probably the most gorgeous woman she's ever seen, she's also straight.

Story
Free-spirited and easygoing Taylor Vandenberg left her hometown of Faircombe, Tennessee, as soon as she could, and in the twenty-five years since, she has rarely looked back. She wouldn't change anything about how her life has turned out—having traveled to nearly every country, never staying anywhere long enough to feel stifled. Brooke Watson has known Taylor for her entire life, and lifelong knowledge means that Brooke knows she's trouble: irresponsible, takes nothing seriously, and irritatingly attractive.

The isolated, sleepy little village of Timber Falls—built on the bend of a swift mountain river—swells during the summer months as tourists flock to town to run the river, lured there by the Class IV and Class V rapids. A gruesome murder of a college student—a river rat—brings the FBI to town. Lynn Carter, a disgraced LAPD detective, was offered an out—a position on a team of unorthodox FBI agents. Publisher's Summary
Wrong Number, Right Woman is a lighthearted slow-burn lesbian romance that embraces likable characters without all the drama.
A single text message can change everything!
Flirting has never been Denny’s strong suit, but so what if she’s too shy to ask women out? She’s content with her simple life, working as a cashier and helping her sister raise her niece.
But then she gets a wrong-number text message from a stranger named Eliza, asking her of all people for dating advice!
Eliza is Denny’s total opposite: witty, outgoing - and straight. Despite their differences, the accidental text sparks an unlikely friendship. Soon, Eliza - self-proclaimed queen of disastrous first dates - would rather banter back and forth with Denny than to keep trying her luck at online dating.
When they meet in person, there’s an instant connection. But what Eliza is feeling can’t be attraction, right? It doesn’t mean a thing that she’s starting to wish the guys she dates would be more like Denny. Or does it?
Can the wrong number lead to the right woman after all?

A fun story that makes you smile
I really enjoyed the drama free slow burn romance that has plenty of content to make you smile.
I love that this is a love story instead of a story where the characters have to deal with phobias.
I would recommend this book 100% to anyone that simply enjoys a good love story.

True Love Story
Enjoyed this mainly because the characters developed a relationship before jumping into an intimate situation. They actually liked each other and were friends, not just working on a physical attraction. There's a warm and underlying depth to them as a couple. Also loved the lack of a fake or contrived mid-story break up. Just two adult women making adult decisions about their lives and how they want to live...together!

well written but bland
If you are in the mood for a zero angst sloooooooow burn, toaster oven romance this will fit the bill. I enjoyed it but I was not captivated by it. It's a pleasant story of two ordinary people meeting by chance and becoming friends that very slowly realize it's something more. It's sweet treat like a nice bowl of premium vanilla ice cream. Nothing wrong with it, it's perfectly enjoyable it just not every exciting.
Narration was very good, but felt the voice used for Denny sounded too much like "Pat" from SNL and so detracted from my enjoyment somewhat.

Fantasy??
This is not a fantasy romance. When I think about falling in love with someone in my fantasy, it's not a 42 year old cashier who's out of shape. I also don't want to be whisked away in her 11 year old Subaru. The only fantasy about this book is when the straight girl decides to be gay. A cashier who goes home and memorizes four digit fruit codes after hours on her own time is not fantasy. It illustrates the writer's lack of knowledge about what minimum wage people do with their free time. Angela Dawe could not save this book.

Jae and Dawe - a recipe for greatness
Can my whole review be swoon, swoon, swoon and more, please?
As much as I loved reading the physical book, the audio was even better. The best narrators elevate the quality of a work and The Legendary Angela Dawe does it every. damn. time. I was smiling, laughing, squealing, awwwwing and, yes - swooning - throughout the entire thing.
This felt like a warm bath on a cold day. Like sitting in front of a fire wrapped in the softest blanket. It was sweet, tender and felt so very good. Who can't use more of that right now?? A perfect combination of the wonderful words of Jae and the beautiful performance of Dawe.

10 hours of self monologue, self deprecating from both parties. I am not sure what is happening with JAE. The story was not funny, no humor, No plot. Boring self deprecating dialogue. I wish I had not wasted a credit! By chapter 17 I wanted to eat a bullet!

After jae won a writing award for this novel, I decided to listen again. it is a pure romance without problems or splits, heartwarming tale of two innocents full of self doubt, the accidental meeting, attraction, courting, and love, there's also plenty of humour, I just felt really good throughout, Angela Dawegasm gives a top performance asusual bringing the variety of great characters to life. A very sweet wlw romance
A feel good romance based around well rounded characters and a story line with lots of will they won't they emotion, some humor and an interesting theme about categorising people.
It is nicely written by Jae and Angela Dawe conveys the emotion of the story in an engaging way bringing out the sweetness of the story. Unfortunately though she does not give characters their own voices but reads the whole audiobook in her own voice, so it's sometimes difficult to keep track of who is doing /saying / thinking / feeling whatever unless you are listening very carefully.

Beautiful story marred by genderism
This was a beautiful story and the first I have read where I can fully relate to one of the main characters - I am a shy, self conscious, introverted, love handled butch myself. The slow-burn love between Denny and Eliza was so heartwarming and wonderful to follow. As far as the main characters and the romance goes I would give this book 5 stars. That being said, it's clear the author has become a card-carrying gender cultist and that was very off-putting. She even used the word Qu**r towards the end which made my gut clench. Anyway that's why I couldn't give it a full 5 stars overall.
