I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook and highly recommend. The author did a fantastic job of depicting the social norms and expectations of the times through Brandon and Justine’s circumstance. Despite their vulnerabilities and cruel fate dealt them at the manipulative hands of others, they were strong, decent people driven by their own motivators to succeed in their new lot in life.

The narrators were excellent and so well matched that if Will Thorne had voiced Brandon’s character and Justine Eyre Justine’s character from start to finish, the listening experience would’ve been absolutely delicious! I wish this book could’ve been an hour or so longer and the start to a series but I’m just being greedy for more!
