I wanted to like it more

I can't 100% put my finger on it, but listening often made me cringe.
A lot of in your face things that didn't need to be said, the dialogue didn't flow for me - I can't tell if that was a narrator or stort issue.
I listened all the way through, as per my compulsion, the ending is satisfyingish.
I would read another of Lori's works, to give it a chance.
To be fair, I've gone off any and all books with Talking cats since beginning this book, so that probably didn't help.
