Daraufhin bekommt er einen Beschwerdebrief von Claudia. Weil Quaxi Regen vorhergesagt hat, wurde der geplante Besuch bei ihrer Freundin Anna abgesagt. Und nun ist Anna richtig sauer auf ihre Freundin. Dem armen Quaxi lässt das keine Ruhe, er hat Alpträume und traut sich fast nicht mehr Regen vorherzusagen.
Herr Nowotny beschließt, daß er Quaxi helfen muss und will den wirklichen Grund für den Streit der beiden Mädchen herauszufinden. Schon bald brechen die beiden in die Backfischgasse auf und finden einiges heraus.
