Publisher's Summary

Winter in Denton is a busy time for DI Jack Frost, whose unsolved crime figures are mounting. A serial killer is murdering local prostitutes; armed robbery; a ram raid at a jewellers and a buried skeleton is uncovered. But Frost's main concern is for the safety of a missing schoolgirl.

The dead body of another little girl from the same school is found... Frost's prime suspect, strongly protesting his innocence, hangs himself in his cell, leaving a note blaming Frost for driving him to suicide. Coarse, insubordinate and fearless, DI Jack Frost is in serious trouble.

Frost never fails......eventually!

Perhaps the best yet. Always a frenetic pace with numerous twists and turns illustrating what must be the chaos of working policeman's life. Lashings of down to earth grit and drama with courseness overtopped, yet compassion and duty always evident in the bombastically bureaucratic thin blue line facing the terror of truly evil bastards.

Narrator perfect, (I'm hearing impaired), plot intricate, human frailty and foible everywhere, great yarnspinning of the psycho evil bastards out there, and the loneliness and sorrow of a much maligned, under appreciated, yet brilliant, Inspector Frost. Thank God for Jack, the roughest of rough diamonds.
