I enjoyed book one, and was looking forward to book two. Sadly, I wasn't able to enjoy it. There were lots of inconsistencies, and a lot of book one was straight up contradicted (and not in a good, story development way). Characters and relationships made no sense, and a lot of scenes were completely out of place. It was also super preachy. Instead of real character development, we got problems invented where they didn't exist, that were blown way out of proportion, then we got sermons that didn't actually match where the character was at. It felt like forced drama that missed the mark. Overall. there was a good story in there, but it needed a lot more editing to make sense, and to be consistent. I got about 3/4 through, then had to stop.
