Will & Patrick Rule, John Solo hits all the feels!

I love this set of books. While silly, it's got some plausible points - and I love it when an author showcases autism, people on the spectrum and people who work to make the connection - we are all flawed, we all have our things - people with Autism just show theirs very clearly. People All Need Love. And I find Patrick Very Lovable in this own way. I think sometimes Will would have more trouble not drinking, but on the other hand finding the other half of you may be just what some need, co dependence be damned. I must always have a happily ever after - and this was that. I really got frustrated by Will's Mom & Dad, but again, there are always people like that, self centered and depend too much on their children and helicopter mom their kids s well. The narrator for this series was spot on and I recommend the entire series. Excellent!

It's another fun adventure for Will and Patrick

Even as the original series ended with them in a Happily ever after, the story of Will and Patrick's marriage doesn't end with marriage and love. I am happy Leta Blake kept going on her story and exploring the marriage dynamic of these 2 characters and their dysfunctional family/friends. The backdrop of a honeymoon was sexy and fun, the intrusion of Will's family was funny and entertaining. It's a nice story with plenty of good things found in original series and set up for future stories if Leta Blake continues. Will's past and journey of self-actualization is key to plot development here. His struggle with alcoholism may have ebbed with sobriety and love for Patrick, but his abusive ex-boyfriend, Ryan, dying from liver failure is an ominous and tragic "what if" for him. Patrick is growing as well in characterization, he is coming to terms with his own life and opening his heart to having more than just Will. I do want to see them handle having kids; perhaps, Foster kids would be best for them as Adoption law is still skewed in the US and surrogacy appears to scare both of them due to their potential genetic issues of diabetes and autism. I would love to see how Patrick manages his own foster kids with Will. If Leta does continue with this story, in the next book, Will has to face some hard truths about personal choices with Patrick at the funeral. I can imagine him being a sponsor for Heartily, who, without the emotional support that Patrick provides Will, has a harder road to travel out of a state of victimization from Ryan. I had mixed feelings toward Owen's advice to Will, from book 6, on what he perceived as "sex addition" and allowing Ryan to operate in an abusive relationship with Heartily. Owen's approach with Will would have failed him, if Patrick wasn't there, so the "wait-until-they-ask" concept of assistance should be reviewed as well. Being "my brother's keeper" is a christian concept that has sadly not been ministered as needed to help those in need. Will is a "do-gooder" as Patrick said, so he shouldn't be held back by the traditionally timid addition and abuse counseling techniques. One of Will's milestones to self-actualization missing is proactive engagement. One thing I like about this series is that the Will does not internalize his issues alone and Patrick is there for him, not always with a solution, but just always there as his partner.

I love Will and Patrick, but book 7 left me feeling unsatisfied like I'm missing something or something from the story the last book 6 had a great end, but this one ended in little Lackluster.

Great read.

I love these two men. Their families are crazy but what do you expect in this situation. Hope they do adopt and maybe the story can continue. Hopefully!

Interrupted

This final installment of Wake Up Married has the guys finally off for their long awaited honeymoon. Of course even that can't be free of family drama. Once again the guys must battle Will's family to make their own way. But all of the struggles helps them remember how much they love each other and how it's all worth the fight.

Fun & Funny, John Solo is Terrific!

Ahhh, romantic Patrick. Patrick is leaving all his vices behind as he whisks Will away for a romantic honeymoon in Hawaii. What could possibly go wrong? Well, knowing Will’s family, you can be sure something will come up! I adore John Solo’s Patrick, in fact I think it’s my favorite of all of Mr. Solo’s voices. So I was thrilled to find out the audio version of Leta Blake’s Will & Patrick’s Endless Honeymoon came out so quickly in audio. As much as I wanted to read this one ASAP I’m glad I waited. Will and Patrick share some funny, some sweet, and even some poignant moments in this one, and of course, it’s still heavily dosed with the sexy-times we all love so much. Fans of this series won’t want to miss Endless Honeymoon, and if you haven’t discovered this series, grab them in audio - you won’t be sorry.

Honeymoon Time

This concluding episode of the 'Wake Up Married' series by Leta Blake was offered for review. I requested a free copy and agreed to post a voluntary opinion. I have not listened to the previous episodes but felt I knew enough about the series to still enjoy the honeymoon of Will and Patrick. After a couple years of marriage, it is now time to plan the honeymoon. Patrick has nervously made all the arrangements for their 10-day trip. But, before they get underway, they have to deal with drama from Will's family, a regular thing for the couple. I like most of this honeymoon story. The author excels at the banter between the characters. The love Patrick and Will share shines through as well. Once the honeymoon actually gets started, my enjoyment picked up even more. For my taste, there could have been more honeymoon and less dysfunctional family dynamics. I get that this is to show that Will is incapable of standing up to his mother's emotional manipulation, but it was a bit much. Will's father isn't any better, either. John Solo does a good narration job. Some of the emotions portrayed were overwrought, but on the whole I liked the performance. Recommended..

I love Patrick and Will...

I'm going to suppose that if you're thinking of getting this book, you're aware that it isn't a standalone and that you have 6 fabulous books to read before this one. So, if you haven't, this is your chance to stop reading because there might be slight spoilers in this review. I've been following Patrick and Will's story since it first came out and I fell hard for Patrick from the first time we met him and he's still one of my favorite characters ever! Will was a bit harder for me to like, mostly because he was (still kind of is, really) a pushover for his parents and his ex, Ryan. Still, Will grew on me and I could see why Patrick loved him. Plus, their chemistry was electric throughout the series and Leta Blake writes some of the hottest sex scenes ever, so that's always a plus. ;) Joining them on their hard-earned honeymoon was definitely a treat in that sense. However much I loved Patrick and Will, the downside of this particular book was having Will's parents showing up at the hotel the guys were hiding in. Also, the whole thing with Ryan, who I hated with the fire of a thousand suns and didn't deserve Will's tears or Patrick's charity. I get that the book needed some angst/drama to move things along, but really, I could've done without any of them in it. John Solo did a fantastic job with his performance. His voice is pleasant and he has consistently delivered a great performance throughout the series, not only giving each character a distinctive voice but showcasing Leta's brilliant writing and humor.

More sexy and hotness continues....

I love Will and Patrick. I wouldn’t mind a check in on them in the future. John Solo continues as the narrator and he’s great. You can tell he gets these characters and knows their personalities. I loved this installment and I hope it’s not the last one. I’m not ready to say goodbye.

Honeymoon Hell

Absolutely brilliant there were times I laughed so hard, I Absolutely adore how Patrick gets snarky especially when he's worried about Will and the other people he cares about. Will is perfect as his Do Gooder Sidekick.. and Will's family are still crazy!! I have loved all of their story and I hope there is more to come. They are so alive to me that even when I read this I hear them in my head.

Great to reconnect with Will and Patrick

This has all the markings of a W & P. Patrick tries (and fails) to be romantic. Will tries to please everyone. Will's family annoys me. It's good to know nothing has changed. Fun, funny, infuriating and lovely. I still adore Patrick. And John Solo does a wonderful job.

loved it!

I love Will and Patrick! An awesome and sexy honeymoon filled with sex and classic malinaro drama and delightfully awkward moments. Some sadness, some healing but more Patrick and Will to love! I loved this serial and wouldn't have expected their honeymoon to be any different 😂😉❤️

Great ending

It was wonderful catching up with Will and Patrick. Of course, nothing is ever easy for them. A honeymoon 2 years later? Sure, it's not like they're inviting trouble. The dysfunctional family curse strikes again but their love is strong and they weather the storm beautifully. John Solo was absolutely wonderful narrating this whole series.

Not what I was suspecting

I absolutely loved the series, but this was too much drama in such a short amount of time. I was tired of Will's mother before they even left the state and wham! There she is, complaining and arguing during the entire book. Then, Patrick seriously thinking about Will's dad sexually, and more than once, just peeved me. I find that disgusting and not at all hot. And the way it was described, ugh. Just no. If you loved the series, you should probably give it a try but the entire thing was a nightmare, the two of them running into drama with every flip of the page.

Lovely

This was so fun to listen to. These two are so perfect for each other. I loved that Patrick planned the whole thing out to surprise Will. But, of course, it we can't have these two go off without drama following them. We were treated to a semi relaxed couple trying to enjoy their honeymoon after being married for 2 yrs.

Patrick's back!

Patrick has swiftly become one of my favourite book characters. His blunt honesty and snark have me laughing out loud. John Solo once again does an outstanding performance, giving these characters life and voice. His deadpan delivery of Patrick's lines hits the spot again and again. He rounds it out with the variety of other characters, each distinctly different.
