 High in the Transylvanian woods, at the castle Piscul Draculi, live five daughters and their doting father. I have read this book many times (papercopy) and when I saw that it was on audible I just had to have it. I also really enjoyed hearing the correct pronunciations of the names and places. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it kept me up all night listening. This book is one that you can truely become lost in.

I have read the book of this tale but so appreciated this reading. It is such a lovely story. I have my own Gogu who lives in my bathroom. Now I know I’ve been saying his name right!

I have listened to many of Juliet Marillier's novels. This title, as well as all the previous ones, is superb. To me, her writing is what, fantasy is meant to be, encompassing, virtues, and quests, honouring love, family ties, friendship, and compassion. There are monsters, lost souls, dubious fey, and of course, endeavours of suffering to attain the happy ending. Wonderful!
