Traditional practises

This book is suitable for everyone who is interested in strengthening their magic. I have taken away the need to back into nature more.

Everything I needed it to be.

Jennifer Dixon was such a wonderfully engaging reader. It was easy to forget that she was not in fact the author, so deep was her own resonance and intimate her understanding of the content.

Danu Forest has created a brilliant, thorough and reverent insight into Celtic practices and lore. She takes care to ensure that the knowledge contained is inclusive and respectful of laws and cultures outside of her own, yet still conjures a vivid and very specific image of each topic.

Absolutely my go-to handbook for introductory magickal practice. I will be referencing this many times in the future, I am sure.

Very grateful this book exists.

Great but one to get as a digital or physical copy

This is a really lovely book. I feel harsh only giving it 3 stars, it is deserving of at least 3.5. While the narrator's voice is just gorgeous, it is a bit of a bore in the parts that are more of a reference guide. I almost DNF but got through it after speeding up the reading speed to 1.5x.

I really appreciated the common sense approach to safety and relevant examples of how you can bring more nature into your every day life. Also loved the clear direction away from culturally appropriating practices that are not yours.

I think it's definitely a good book to have in your collection as a physical or digital copy so that you can refer to specific sections when you need certain information.
