About this listen

At a young age, we typically have planted in our minds the idea of the devil as a little figure in a red suit with a tail carrying a pitchfork. He is someone to fear because he is out to get us. As we grow older we realize that the devil probably doesn’t look like that, but there is still a visual picture that comes to mind when the devil is mentioned and we most definitely keep the idea that the devil is out to get us.

Where did the myth of the devil in a red suit with a pitchfork come from? It really doesn’t matter but it shows us how easy it is to get something planted in our minds that has no apparent origin and seems to do no harm to us.

Much of what people believe about the devil is based upon subjective experiences and the traditions of men rather than the Word of God. While it may appear that it doesn’t matter what we believe concerning the devil, we need to understand that when we comprehend the role of the devil in the plan of God we can more effectively resist him.

This audiobook will challenge your beliefs about the devil and the role that he plays both in the world and in your own personal life. Some of the questions that will be addressed may shake the core of your belief about the forces of evil and the ways to fight the devil, but I am confident that if you will examine the scriptures with me you will see what the Word of God tells us concerning these things.
