I feel that the narrator was a little too monotone. My 3rd grader loves to read... the book had actually captured her attention a little more than halfway through. Towards the end it's started to become tough for both of us to pay attention and make it through. The information in the book was clear enough to paint a picture in our mind but was step by step the same as the movie 'The Miracle Worker.' I thought I would be getting same information, yet different dialogue.
