Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire ever to see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy who excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you're going home with.

Ben can't get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he'll never see her again...until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Ben is determined to prove he's not the same guy he used to be.

Swoony

I loved the story than started it all. Mia is a darling and sure found the man girls wish for. the one thing I wanted to see covered is Ben acknowledging the way he treated Mia as a kid even his sister Tessa be remorseful before we got introduced to Nolan. The other books are more well rounded but the story still flowed.
I loved it and swooned, but there's a chunk missing there. plus its so sad.

A SWEET & ADDICTIVE CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE

Now grown into a beauty Mia is dreading staying with Tessa, her best friend, for the Summer because of Tessa's brother Ben and his once hurtful words and hatred towards her while growing up and those taunting words still haunt her today. Mia decides to stop en-route to lose her V card and picks up a very hot, very handsome and very buff guy at a Bar who is all too willing for a one night stand with her and he turns out to be very understanding of her situation and is a very tender, passionate and thoughtful lover.

With that taken care of and fond memories of her wild night and sexy lover she continues on to Tessa's house only to discover that her passionate lover was Ben.... of all the random people on the Planet she gave it up to Ben the hated brother and her anger towards him knew no bounds. But Ben's reaction was the opposite, he couldn't get the mystery woman out of his mind and was shocked but delighted to discover he had a second chance with her. So he took it every chance he got but Mia kept shooting him down and bringing up his hurtful childhood taunts which made him rethink his tactics.... he was quickly losing the battle but was determined to win the war.

Great main and secondary characters (especially a Dragon obsessed sweet little 3 yr old), an entertaining plot with no terrible secrets just some bad childhood memories that were eventually forgiven.... well he was irresistible in his Cop's uniform. Lots of sex, romance and laughs and the plot had some tension with a bitter ex, some angst as Mia's feelings changed and some heartache because Mia's Mother was battling Cancer. Dual POV's and Stella Bloom did an excellent job at bringing the characters and situations to life.

Worth a credit? What a great start to a series that I'm definitely going to get into and book 2 is already in my cart. A truly yummy enjoyable listen that's very creditworthy.

I love J. Daniels and Mia and Ben's story!

Interesting plot, great characters and I didn't want to stop listening. It was funny, sweet, hot and the characters felt realistic. J. Daniels' writing pulls you in and you can't wait to find out how Ben and Mia's story ends. And Sir Nolan.... I just love him. He's so precious.

Great 1st book in the series!

I really liked this book. The story line was great, there were a few unlikely situations that made it a little unbelievable but it was great none the less. Ben was an awesome character, I loved that you got to see how much he grew as a man. Mia wasn't very confident but she played it off well when she needed too which was awesome! The sex scenes were super HOT. After the first scene I knew I was going to love this book. Stella Bloom did a fantastic job narrating this book, I was very happy to see she narrated this whole series. I will be continuing with the series!!!

Strong start

This book sucked me in quickly and I was so excited to read it. I loved the instant chemistry between Ben and Mia. I loved the love/hate relationship in the beginning and I even loved the friendship they built. Nolan was adorable and really added to my love. Unfortunately, About halfway through I was fast forwarding through sex scenes that were too much. The end was just unbelievable. And I mean literally there is just no way it could have happened. I am married to a police officer and I was annoyed by some things that were said that never would have happened. I was just plain annoyed with the book by the end. To the point that I have no desire to explore the other books in the series. Kind of a bummer.

It is an okay book

It was an okay book. I was expecting more of a story line, but most of the book is about sex (either thinking about it or doing it). There didn't seem to be enough time for the feelings to develop between characters for my taste, but I won't say more than that so I don't ruin anything. Overall, it had a lot of raunchy scenes and Nolan is adorable. I paid for the book, I do not think it is credit worthy since it is such a short book and it was overall just average to me

Way Too Profane

What disappointed you about Where I Belong?

The story was OK...but the sex references just too sleazy.

Has Where I Belong turned you off from other books in this genre?

I enjoy good, graphic sex scenes (i.e. EL James), but the references to body parts are just off-putting.

Simple and sweet

This was just ok for me. I enjoy a deep, intense book and this was just light and sweet. Also, a bit unrealistic. A tragedy occurs and the main character seemed to be more involved with her love life and it was so very unrealistic. But if you are looking for a nice, easy read... Not bad.

Very light, but good

I was in need for something light and sweet and this is really it. i just didn't like at the end when something bad happened (do not want to give any spolier) and she just erased that from the atory and necer mentioned it again, very cold for such a caring daughter!! I was disappointed w that.

Just OK For Me

I really don't know what to think about this book. It was an okay listen for me but at the same time I found it extremely difficult to believe. I will say that I really enjoyed that authors voice and found that it was easy to get swept away in her world. I think what ruined this book for me was the characters and the plot. Honestly it was kind of a hot mess and it had me shaking my head more than once.

*Some mild spoilers ahead.*

First let me just say that Ben was a bit much for me at times. I found that he was kind of one dimensional and didn't really do anything for me. He was a bit too caveman-like and I found him to be kind of irritating in his Alpha ways. Let me explain. He's constantly "claiming" Mia as his. While normally I don't mind this but for some reason it just irritated me in this book. Maybe because I felt like his feelings was a bit of insta-love like and I just never really got a true sense that he cared for Mia. Don't get me wrong, I get that he likes her but why? The author never really delves into that. They essentially have a hot one night stand (where they don't even exchange names) and yet the next day he's head over heels and done for. I just didn't buy it.

As for Mia how did she not know who Ben was when she met him in the bar. That for me was unbelievable. I felt like she went from hating Ben and I mean HATING Ben to in love with him. It essentially feels like it's overnight and I just didn't buy it. I also didn't buy into the fact that she held on to her virginity until she was 23 just to lose it to some random hot guy in a bar just because she doesn't want her childhood best friend to make fun of her. I mean what!?! Who does that? Also, not only does she lose her virginity but it's like the best sex ever. Seriously?! I don't buy it.

Another thing that bothered me about this book is just how gross Tessa (Mia's bestie/Ben's sister) is when it comes to Mia and Ben's sex life. Some of the things she asks/says about her brothers anatomy left a bad taste in my mouth and just seemed bizarre. What sister wants to know the size of her brothers penis? Ugh.

All in all this book was just okay for me. Will I read another by J. Daniels, probably. In fact, I've got the next book ready to go on my iPod. But do I recommend? That I'm not so sure about that as there were just too many roll your eyes moments for me.

The narrators were good but Stella Bloom would have been good on her own.

Addictive, enjoyable rom com

I loved this sexy, funny, if not very cheesy, enemies to lovers, to friends to lovers, sappy romance. The story follows Mia Corelli who returns to her childhood town to stay with her best friend Tessa Kelly, for the summer. Her only issue is Benjamin Kelly, Tessa's older, horrible brother, who used to pick on her constantly. Oh and one other thing, she's still a virgin, and yes she wants to lose that card before she sees her best friend who is as far from a virgin as you can get. What better way to lose it than with a one night stand. Although I think she should have done her homework a bit more before picking up a stranger in a bar. Thoroughly enjoyable, addictive romance, written in dual POV, with lovable characters and lots of chemistry. I loved the narration, spot on.
