Haven’t been this gripped by a book since Gone Girl. Loved it. Recommend this one for murder mystery lovers.

OMG I recon I could put names to some of your characters. I was a Uni student working on farms in the King Country 1982-86. You took me right back to working in a shed, shearing my first & only 1 of 2 sheep 🐑 drinking in dodgy bars … absolutely loved EVERY minute of this book & the narration was spot on!!

An absolutely absorbing book with such interesting characters, a thrilling plot line that kept me guessing all the way to the end and atmospheric descriptions of the landscape. The narrator was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend

Having worked in shearing sheds in my youth I enjoyed the authenticity of this part of the story. I didn't find myself thinking that's wrong or that's not how it works at any point, a nice change to a lot of half researched stories I listen to.
So glad it had a kiwi narrator, his accent just added to the overall enjoyment of the story.
Highest praise of all has to be that I didn't guess who did it until I was supposed to!
Very happy to recommend this book.
