There are ghosts at every corner. I have read a lot of Max Monroe books and they’ve always made me laugh but I don’t think a book has made me cry this much since Bridge to Terabithia. Clay and Josie’s story is told beautifully, jumping between now and the past. Part of it takes place during the story of the first Red Bridge book (also a tear jerker). This series shows Max Monroe are writers with full range.
