Solid except for the host

The topic of the discussion was The Trauma Cleaner, a beautifully nuanced biography of a woman and the trauma of her life along with those of the people she works with.
Host Tom Ballard clearly doesn’t have a great grip of that nuance shown by the books writer Sarah Krasnostein, and I found a few things he said alienating and cringey. Melissa Norberg certainly had her empathy switched on and thank goodness for her contributions!

Fabulous idea

What a good idea - audible book club! Loved the first book, and the commentary on it was interesting and insightful. Looking forward to finding out what’s next!

It's book club for introverts!

Liked to hear their thoughts and the author interview. Thanks! Next month I think I'll pour a wine to complete the bookclub feel.

Insightful, funny, interesting.

Tom, Meshel and I work so well together. I particularly enjoyed my jokes — Meshel had a couple of corkers about actual crime process, and Tom's Irish accent transported me to Madrid.
Loved this more please Audible. Dan
