I enjoyed listening the Lady Glenconner and her incredible life. They don’t make them like her anymore and I hope she makes it to 100 to hear more tales of her exploits in life.

What a wonderful example of how well life can be lived, despite her terrible sadness and family adversity. I love her unfailing positivity and wonderful wit and highly recommend this book, along with Lady in Waiting.

Enjoyed this memoir even better than her first, perhaps because Lady Anne added her reflections and afterthoughts in response to the feedback she received from Lady in Waiting. Hearing her life lessons were like listening to inspiring messages.

What a magnificent, brave and compelling story. Lady Anne has a rare gift for storytelling and her capacity for frank and open dialogue is beguiling. My heart broke with hers as tragedy struck but in equal measure I laughed out loud at her wonderful humour.
