About this listen

Perfect for fans of Cecilia Ahern, Jodi Picoult and Sheila O'Flannagan.

After 10 years together, Carrie Nolan is devastated when she's dumped by Kevin Mulvey without even a backwards glance! But on reflection, she has sacrificed her own long-term happiness by pandering to his excessive ego in their successful Dublin restaurant (and out of it) - but not anymore! While Kevin is 'living the dream' with his beautiful new Brazilian girlfriend, Carrie seeks solace from a circle of mismatched strangers who need her as much as she needs them. Then suddenly a catastrophic sequence of events leads to the unthinkable.

How far do you need to fall before you learn the true value of family and friends? And is it ever too late to start again.

This audio was totally spoilt by the narrator, she seemed to be in a terrible rush, the words just poured out. Ther was no pause between one scene and another and no accent except the Bolivian. I wonder if the producers of the books ever listen to them before the unleash them on the public. I DONT THINK SO !!!!

Worst narrator ever

I agree with the others on this same subject and find the poor narration to be the weakest link!

Too rushed and I also had to slow it down to 0.85 in order to understand and try to understand and then enjoy it.

Poor Narrator

It could have been a really enjoyable story, but the narration was atrocious.
I slowed down the speed down to 7:5 but it was still hard to distinguish between characters. Her narration was seriously pathetic, boring and hard to follow the story. I would say she was as bored as the story seemed

Narrator spoilt the book

The story is damaged by the high speed narration. The sentences, paragraphs just become one racing , neve-rending almost expressionless stream of words .

Would like to hear it with another narrator

The narration was terrible. I slowed it each time, eventually to 0.85x speed, but it was so monotoned it was hard to tell who was talking, who's character was in the storyline and they all sounded the same except for the Columbian.
I can't judge the story, I didn't finish but that says a lot.

Narration ruined any story here.
