This one was touch and go!!! I liked it but I was hunting for any signs of grooming behaviour between the male lead and the female lead the entire time! the age gap is 19 years! They met when he saved her life when she was like 6 yo and he was what, in his 20s? 21? something like that. They exchanged letters throughout her years and his prison sentence (he kills someone to save her life - this ain't a spoiler) and he only stops when she hits something like 14-15 years and it is clear she has a crush on him so he creates distance.

The transformation from hero-worship to romance is real subtle...

I don't think it is too bad in comparison to many other age-gap taboo romances. It is romantic and emotional and by the end of the book I was sold on their romance and how right they are for one-another.

I haven’t loved a book like this in a long time. I haven’t cried over a book in forever, but my heart broke in this one.
It was so close to perfection, the only part I found difficult was the fact that Lou was 17 when they started hooking up. I could deal with the age gap, but the fact she was still at school was icky. I wish the character has been written as 18/19.
Apart from that, I loved everything and can’t wait to keep listening to the series.

It's been a while since I jumped back into the MC world, and I was not disappointed by reading Zeus and Loulou's story.

The letters were chef's kisses, and the connection these two had was endearing.

The heartache was a bit hard to take because it was so real. This whole world has sucked me in, and I can't wait to read about the other MC members.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good audio.

This story was explosive. I loved it from the start. Zeus was such a strong character. With lots happening in the book, side characters working behind the scenes. It kept me enthralled till the end.
Narration was awesome too.
