Publisher's Summary

'We all have to do our part if we’re to survive the coming storm.'

Alexandra Jennings might be the hero of The Medoran Chronicles, but she would be lost without her three closest friends. They are her heroes, and like all heroes, they each have their own story.

Meet the real D.C. in 'Crowns and Curses' and discover how she becomes the princess Alex once despised but now adores.

Follow Jordan on his healing journey in 'Scars and Silence' as he struggles in the wake of being rescued from his living nightmare.

Walk beside Bear in 'Hearts and Headstones' as he faces an unspeakable trauma while helping his world prepare for the coming war.

D.C., Jordan and Bear are the heroes of their own stories.

It is time for their stories to be told.

Good book to read, poor voice choice

Great in between book, but the voice actors were so hard to continue listening to. Looking forward to book 5, hopefully they use the same female as all previous full books.

the narration was horrible! but the story was ok

the narration was horrible, the first narrator, the one for D.Cs one was too soft and childish, making 13 year old D.C sound like an 8 year old. the second narrator, the one for Jordan's one was just plain out robotic and monotonous, he had no feeling or expression in his voice, it sounded just like a robot. compared to him bear's narrator was a bit better, but only by 10%. he still made all the people sound like they were deep voiced thieves who were booming or growling. i was utterly annoyed by this!!!! it made me so super frustrated that i could only bear it up till the first chapter of scars and secrets (?) then i basically skipped to the next chapters, only stopping here and there until i got to bears which was also bad so i just gave up. the story was much better than the narration, but still, WHY was D.C so annoyingly sensitive that she broke into tears every other day? SIGH!!!! this book overall only deserves a 2.5 stars.... compared to the actual series this is horrible..

Great book, not great voices

Great book, loved this and all the other titles in the Medoran Chronicles. But I was not a fan of the voice actor of Bears story, most of it was fine but the voice he did for Declan was awful, it made him sound like a 40 year old Elvis impersonater

Good Backstory for the other books

I loved the book. It helped me understand the other four books. Though I do wish different people did the voice overs.

Good detour

Good to get a different perspective of the view points of other characters in the story. Not as good as the main story but an ok detour. The performances I made 3 stars as the male narrator kept butchering the names.

why was this made?

I love side stories to series as a way to flesh out shallow supporting characters, so I was really excited when I saw this released. this is why I am even more disappointed to find it written like bad fanfiction. the characters come across as comically flat and one dimensional and the plot is neither interesting nor insightful. if anything, this book detracts from the main story rather than adding to it

amazing as always!

I love this world! and it was great to hear some back story, in their own voices, of Alex's 3 best friends. The new voice actors did great but the pernounced a few key names wrong repeatedly and that always drives me a bit nuts! that's why I gave one less star on their performance rating.
