Publisher's Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Watching You by Arne Dahl, read by Mark Meadows.

A breathtaking thriller with twists you’ll never see coming. The start of a new series from international bestseller Arne Dahl.

Someone is watching....

At each abandoned crime scene there's a hidden clue: a tiny metal cog, almost invisible to the naked eye. Someone is sending Detective Sam Berger a message, someone who knows that only he will understand the cryptic trail.

Someone knows....

When another teenage girl disappears without trace, Sam must convince his superiors that they’re dealing with a serial killer. As the police continue the hunt to find the latest victim, Sam is forced to unearth long-buried personal demons. He has no choice if he is to understand the killer's darkly personal message before time runs out.

Someone is killing just for him....

A fast paced introduction to Detective Sam Berger

A fast paced introduction to Detective Sam Berger, his fall from grace with the Swedish Police and the creation of his Private Detective Agency in partnership with an ex-Secret Service Agent. Murder, mystery and suspense are woven into the story of their unauthorised investigation into a serial killer and is supported by solid characters and credible back stories. A good start to a good series.

Poor narration

I’m sure the story will be brilliant, I just can’t get past the poor narration. Mark Meadows’ narration is usually great but in this novel, his voice is stilted, with poor intonation and no depth. I’ll just have to read the book! Are all Dahl’s novels read by the same person? I’ll have to check...
