Accent was terrible, storyline was weak, characters shallow… very disappointing

Didn’t enjoy this story one bit! I just couldn’t tolerate the briskness of the main heroines friends accent. The mothers was worse and don’t even get me started on the fathers! By far the worst, however, was the southern gents accent - absolutely cringe worthy. The storyline was weak and try as I might I found it incredibly difficult to be transported into 1939 London. I ended up skipping most of the middle and rushed to see if the ending was how I imagined - it was! Disappointing and won’t be returning to this particular series.

okay

The story is bogged down by the pathetic romance. I prefer a stronger female protagonist.
