Joey has not been dealt a fair hand in life: he suffers from chronic Crohn’s disease, his mother died when he was a baby, and his father abandoned him, leaving his grandmother to raise him. Now he’s losing her too. When his friends suggest he put up a wanted ad for a daddy, Joey is sceptical but willing to try. He can’t believe it when his recent, caring boss, Tucker, expresses interest. Tucker has been at a loss since Joey resigned from his personal assistant job with Tucker’s thriving real estate agency and he’s keen to know more about the enigmatic young man.

This daddy-boy / age-gap / rescue romance is short (189 pp, 4.5 audio hrs) with a slow burn and it’s super sweet. Despite some of the heavy topics, it feels like a cosy mystery—nearly all the unpleasantness is off the page. Once Tucker rides to Joey’s rescue, it’s smooth sailing all the way with very few waves. While I personally found this too bland, others will appreciate its warmheartedness and gentle pace. 🎧 Shawn K Jain matched the gentle tone with quiet emotion, he was pleasant to listen to

This was an amazingly awesome reading of Sammi Cee's book about Joey and Tanner's love for one another and was amazing to listen to as well

The story was a nice feel good tale.
I personally wouldn't have chosen this narrator for this book as I think he would be better suited to a fast paced story line. But that's just my taste.
I look forwards to more stories from this author and other work this narrator has done
